INFLUENCE:

The Great Spirit God. I want to give thanks first to God! “GOD IS LOVE, AND LOVE IS THE ANSWER” God is forgiveness. It is about truths. We all see God in a different way. However you see God, the Great Spirit, Tunkashiela, Wankan-tanka, Shi-Cheii, Jesus Christ, or Grandfather, whatever name God is called by, God is the one, the only, the same in all of life. We are all rightful heirs to God because we were all created in the image of God. God is the simple truth, nothing added upon, and nothing taken away. The simple truth is love and respect of that same God our creator in all living things and our mother earth. The simple truth has no boundaries. However you see God, that is the love, light, energy, and spirit within you and the universe, the manifestation of God through your own gifts. That is the Great Gift! My thanks also goes to my parents for passing on the gift of music.

INFLUENCE:

Believe it or not, Barry Manilow (there’s a story behind that). I think he is
an incredible song writer, singer, arranger, and musician. Not to mention, he
has great showmanship. Now back to the story… Years ago, when I was first
only dreaming of singing and performing at gigs, I went to one of Barry’s
concerts in Salt Lake City. He randomly picked me out of the audience of about 12’000 people, to come on stage and sing a song with him. So I went up there in front of
those thousands of people and sang and danced with him. He was very impressed
with my vocal ability, and my lack of stage fear. It was a trip, I loved it,
and the feeling of the communication with the audience, and the feel of the
stage under my feet. But the biggest thing he left me with was what he said
that night. He said “DON’T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!“, so I went away from that experience high with euphoria, and determined to never give up on my dreams.
And I haven’t. I wish he knew how much he influenced me with my music.
